I thought about writing about all the insanely awful things that have happened due to the snow storm we're experiencing in Atlanta and in many parts of Georgia. Yes, as you can see in the photos, we only got 2-3 inches, but when the temperatures are so low and there are ZERO plows or trucks salting the streets, it's complete mayhem.
Rather than go on and on about the insanity of the day, I thought I'd post some photos I took today [and my mom took yesterday while I was flying from Toronto]. Despite the stress this weather and the lack of proactivity to manage it has caused, I can still find so much beauty in it. I have a hundred photos of my dogs [this was Watson's first experience with snow and it was just adorable to witness!], but I thought I'd just stick to photos outside and around the house.
If you're in Georgia, I hope you're staying safe and have made it home or to a warm location, and if you're reading this from somewhere else, I hope this gives you a glimpse at what the south looks like on a snow day, and maybe take some time to check out the news on what's happening out on the roads here. It's pretty unbelievable.
Now I'm off to make myself some hot tea and a warm lunch, and maybe play a little more with the dogs in the snow.
