Every time I have a new project on the horizon, I'm immediately compelled to jump in my car and get out to the nearest antique stores for some inspiration. I'm so lucky Atlanta has so many well curated stores to shop from. Here are a few recent favorites I spotted on a recent trip to Kudzu Antiques.
As soon as I walked into the store, I saw this pair of gorgeous industrial pendants. I loved how the matte black exterior pairs with the bright copper lining.
This dresser has such a presence with its chunky top and overall solid stature.
This dresser is showing a little more age and wear, but that's what gives it the rustic charm I'm looking for. I also love how the stain isn't all uniform on the drawer fronts. It makes for an almost ombre effect.
Another dresser with a rustic feel, but just a bit more refined with some curves at the base. I like the light, maple tones of this piece.
This is a serious kitchen island. The wood top is gorgeous, and is a perfect foil against the dark, charred base cabinets. I could easily see this in a very clean, white kitchen to give it some depth.
Finally, I loved this last dresser because of it's striking oak wood grain. That, along with the contrasting stain colors, made this piece really interesting. Needless to say, there's no shortage of all things industrial, rustic and vintage here in Atlanta!
