This title and this weekend has me feeling [and humming] like I'm Maria from The Sound of Music. I had a quintessentially perfect Georgia fall weekend. It comprised my most favorite things: hiking, antiquing, and firepit-ing. I continued my 'happily in love with fall' trend by doing an early morning photo shoot of my newly acquired vintage styling props.
I arranged them all on my rapidly weathering fold up table, along with some of the ever cascading leaves from the trees in my backyard [some fell naturally on the table, while others were artfully placed].
I can never say no to old apothecary bottles [and when they're only 25 cents a piece, I have zero restraint!].
I found this small English ironstone plate, which has a beautiful, intricate cobalt blue pattern.
Then there's my quickly growing collection of vintage silverware.
I also have an affinity for tiny child size shoe forms [and this one is a lovely barn red hue I hadn't seen before].
I also found a copper platter that feels so very fall with its worn patina and gradation of browns and reds.
I really do need to do more styling shoots outdoors. There's nothing like it. I've got to start lugging my furniture out here, and smother them with all my great vintage props!
