Mid Century Color: Old Violet End Tables

A new day, a new color! Today, I'm introducing a pair of mid century Lane side tables I painted in Annie Sloan's Old Violet and I'm thoroughly enjoying this new shade!

Yes, Old Violet sounds like I'm referring to the grand matriarch of Downton Abbey, donning her finest hat while spouting off her snide commentary. [I love love LOVE Maggie Smith!]

Violet tables? Am I crazy? Perhaps. But this color feels in no way old to me.  In fact, the results are really young and playful! The color is less violet to me, and more of a youthful blue. [again, quite the opposite of Old Violet!]

I'm planning on styling these beside a great little green sofa I have.  Page through the photos below, or check it out in my shop or on Craigslist!
