All is Bright: Turquoise Nightstands

I'm testing out a couple new colors this week, and this pair of nightstands is a product of the pair.  By combining Annie Sloan's Florence and Cream, the result was a bright turquoise that completely lights up any space its in.

The color is really the closest I've ever gotten to creating 'Tiffany Blue' [the company has a very distinct and beloved blue box for its jewelry].

Bedrooms tend to be rather boring and bland, full of neutral tones and very little excitement [even my own bedroom is still victim to the overly 'blah' style, sigh].

That's why I love incorporating color in little pockets, like in the fabrics of the room [drapes, bedding, rugs]. But it can be nice to have some contrasting tones in the furniture of the space as well.

I've probably said it a thousand times, but completely matching bedroom furniture is a pet peeve of mine.  So having nightstands that don't perfectly match the bed frame makes a world of difference! These turquoise nightstands are the perfect foil for any neutral bed and works beautifully with a wide range of colors [neutral grays and taupes, or warm reds and yellows].

I really do love this color and how it brings out the beautiful details on the drawer fronts. Check out this pretty pair on Craigslist or in my shop!
