It's amazing what color can do to change your mood. As soon as I dipped my brush into this can of teal paint, I immediately felt happier, brighter, and excited to continue painting.
Annie Sloan's Florence is a deep, bold teal. For larger pieces of furniture, this color might seem a bit too intense, which is when I like to lighten it with a white or gray, or darken it with graphite.
But for a little table like this, a hit of color is perfect. This little table will make a lovely accent piece in any space.
Anytime I get my hands on something mid century that can't be properly refinished, I always go straight for color. Mid Century furniture just lends itself to more modern colors.
I styled this little photo shoot simply with a yellow vase [who doesn't love a little yellow and teal?!], some dried eucalyptus, and a few of my favorite design books.
This table works really well for apartments, since it can act as a coffee table or workspace. Don't have space for a dining table? This little guy is just the right height for sitting on the sofa and having a meal.
I'll be posting this for sale shortly, so keep an eye out for it. I think I'm one of the few people who won't be partaking in the Black Friday madness! I'm using this as a day to take care of business at home [and of course paint more!]. Happy Friday! -Jo
