My Foodie Weekend Roundup

Most nights I prefer to cook, so I don't eat out all that much, but I thought I'd put together my ideal foodie weekend just for kicks.  I may not get to do all of this, but maybe you'll get to try out some of these spots.  Happy Friday!  [is it time for a cocktail yet?]

5:30pm: Oysters and Cocktails at The Kimball House

7:30pm: Try out Heirloom BBQ's new Southern/Korean outpost, Sobban

9:30pm: Swing by Whole Foods and pick up a decent bottle of red and a yummy cheese to pair with it. [my kind of Friday night!]

7:30am: Green smoothie, french press coffee and a bit of reading

8:30am: Walk the dogs over to Morningside Farmers' Market [one of the few all organic, year round markets in town] and decide on this week's menu

9:15am: Cross the street over to Alon's for coffee #2 and breakfast. Don't forget to pick up up cookies for later [they're the best!]

12:00pm: Star Provisions. Shop and Eat.  Eat and Shop.

3:00pm: After a few hours of design sourcing and window shopping, splurge on some Jeni's Ice Cream.  Yum.

7:00pm: Finally test the waters at Kevin Gillespie's Gunshow.  I've heard great things!

9:30pm: Imbibe in as many $2.22 margaritas as you can at Tin Lizzy's. It's National Margarita Day!

SUNDAY, 2/23

9:00am: Lots of coffee with homemade walnut pancakes and bacon with maple syrup.  A weekly staple in my house.

1:00pm: James Beard Award Winning Cakes & Ale now offers brunch? A must try!

4:00pm: Tea and Alon's cookies on the porch if the weather's good [if there are any left from yesterday!]

7:00pm: Experience Ford Fry's latest spot, St. Cecilia [Seafood, Pasta and Cocktails, oh my!]

9:00pm: Red wine and the weekly Walking Dead viewing party
