Atlanta is a big tease. First she's warm all winter. Then we get multiple snow days [unheard of!] in one season. Before you know it, it's 72 and sunny for days and days. But alas, we're back to frigid and barely above freezing. I miss the north where things were consistently awful for a months. At least I knew what to expect!
All this confusing weather has got me wishing for warm, sunny days, preferably by the beach. Right now, I'm inspired by a lot of bold, bright colors [have you seen my recent logo style? Yeah..] but I have many friends who like a more subtle look. I thought I'd feed my yearning for the beach with some inspiration for a more neutral palette.
All the colors above were pulled from my inspiration photo, which was taken back in October when I was staying on St. Simon's [a coastal Georgia island that's a must visit], and from that I rounded up some pieces I could picture in my dream beach house. I didn't want it to feel overly 'beachy' and expected, so I tried to meld some modern pieces into a classic beach style.
How soon can we leave for the beach again?
