Keeping it Classy: Using a Graphite Dresser in a Living Space

I painted this piece a couple weeks back, but I just got around to photographing it yesterday! The sun was unusually bright in the house, so it was the perfect moment to give this baby some screen time. I painted it one of my go to colors from Annie Sloan, Graphite, which takes any piece of furniture and immediately gives it a sense of class and just the right amount of masculinity. I also distressed the hardware a bit with paint and sanding, just to take away some of the sharp brassy quality they had and gave them some patina.

I paired the dresser with two new finds of mine, these amazing green slipper chairs [more photos of them to come!], which made for the perfect vignette in my living space.  When you have a piece of furniture that feels neutral and timeless like this dresser, it really doesn't have to be relegated to just the bedroom of your house.  This piece can make an appearance wherever you may need some storage, or a great focal point in a room.  Check it out on Craigslist or in my shop!
