Taking a brief hiatus from posting about the studio move to talk about something of great importance: ice cream. I'm fairly sure ice cream makes most people happy, but Jeni's is not your ordinary scoop. It's magical. The flavors are interesting and not in the weird, 'do I really want to try that?' way [and yes, you definitely do want to try every flavor!]. I love everything Jeni's puts out there, but the two things I can't live without are their ice cream sandwiches made out of macaron cookies [this one being absolutely sublime] and their chocolate blackout gravel, the most delectable topping. Jeni's may have started out in Ohio, but it's got a strong foothold here in the south, with three storefronts in the Atlanta area, including this spot at Krog Street Market, now only a short walk from my studio [dangerous, VERY dangerous]. I'm trying to come up with every excuse on why I shouldn't just drop everything and have some ice cream for lunch. Okay, back to moving and unpacking...womp womp.
