A New Alternative to Lipgloss?

I'm getting ready to make some returns after my recent Sephora shopping spree [I like to order a bunch of different products and return the ones where the colors don't work for me]. I've basically stopped wearing lip gloss.  I'm not a fan of reapplying makeup throughout the day, and lipgloss has a notoriously short shelf life on my lips. The problem is, lipstick can be awfully drying, and I wanted something with lasting color and moisture.  I discovered this project, [get ready for the longest name EVER] YSL's Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levres Glossy Stain. Here's what Sephora says it does:

What it is:
A revolutionary new lip product that combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain.

What it does:
Coat your lips with this lip color that offers a lightweight texture, which immediately melts onto lips. Glossy Stain delivers intense glossy color for an extremely long-lasting shine.

My first test was a little iffy. They were right about the gloss and long lasting shine, but I was a little disappointed with the color. Both options I tried were a little light for my taste.  But my lips were feeling hydrated and since it lasted for hours [unheard of with normal lipgloss!] I kept trying it.  Both colors are a bit light, and I'm leaning towards the second color [wand on the left] because it has a bit more pigment, but the jury's still out. It is nice having a lighter color for summer.  What do you think? Part of me wants to try an entirely new product, but I have received compliments on my lips when I wear these.  Oh, life's conundrums...
