The pictures say it all. I'm in love. With a dresser. And a color. [and those insanely pink ranunculus and that cream cable knit blanket and the cutest kitty in the world] All wrapped up in one! I'm painting furniture these days, and not to brag or anything, but this one is a looker.
I used a wiry china brush, so there's a lot of depth and texture to the surface. I did some light distressing to the Amy Howard chalk paint I used [in Vintage Affliction- which is an awfully befitting name for me and what I do!]. The finish is an all natural wax, which makes it water resistant, with just a hint of shine, so it still retains that vintage look. Polyurethane gives furniture that super glossy look, which works in certain instances, but not for this baby. [not to mention I HATE the smell of poly, bleh] It's solid wood, sturdy and now will make a beautiful pop of color in someone's home! [if I don't decide to hoard it for myself that is...]
